On 12nd May, 2017,on behalf of our company, we would like to wish nurses aroud the globe a very happy International Nurses Day!

    This year, ICN has chosen the theme, Nurses: A Voice to Lead, Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Through this publication, and the accompanying website, video and social media campaign, to raise awareness: first amongest the nursing profession of what the SDGs are and why they matter;and, secondly, amongest the population, governments and other decision-makers,of the contrubutions nurses are already making to achieve the SDGs. 

    The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 to replace the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). They contain 17 goals covering a broad range of sustainable development issues for the world:

    Goal 1: No poverty

    Goal 2: Zero hunger, improved nutriton

    Goal 3: Good health and well-being

    Goal 4: Quality education

    Goal 5: Gender equality

    Goal 6: Clear Water and sanitation

    Goal 7: Affordable and clean energy

    Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth

    Goal 9: Industry innovation and infrastructure

    Goal 10: Reduced inequalities

    Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities

    Goal 12: Responsible consumption and production

    Goal 13: Climate action

    Goal 14: Life below water

    Goal 15: Life on the land

    Goal 16: Peace, justice and strong institutions
